It takes a special kind of teacher to fill every one of her students with the passion to learn and the tools to do so. It takes a special kind of empathy to understand that all kids have potential, and that the one-size-fits-all learning so commonly adopted by schools is not the best for all of them. Mrs. Goltra is a positive force on everyone she interacts with. She fought for me and for my classmates, and it is thanks to her and the opportunities she gave us that we have developed into the people we are today.
