Dr. Campbell was my orchestra director when I began playing the cello, and as I finish my high school career, he is still one of my most significant musical mentors. He always has faith in my abilities and makes music a welcoming environment. He introduced me to the staples of classical music, and helped develop my love of musical theatre by conducting our amazing pit orchestras. Once, when Dr. C. substituted for band rehearsal, he gave one word of advice for following his conducting: “Adapt.” Being adaptable has proven itself a vital skill for both music-making and progressing through life.
