Throughout my high school experience, I have had many teachers that have impacted me pushed me to do better, but there are only a few that I would consider a mentor. I choose Chef Peffley as my mentor because he stuck with me all year. Chef has taught me not only about baking and the food service industry, but he has also taught me many life lessons. He has taught me that I should hold myself to a high standard because I have the skills and mindset to do big things. Chef Peffley has always been pushing me to challenge myself and do better since the first day of this program. One thing that I can say about my experience in Chef’s pastry program is that he cares for his students far beyond just academics and skills. I appreciate all of the support and guidance that Chef has given me.
