Mrs. Kristen Gonzalez, my 2nd grade teacher, has been an extremely influential person in my life and I am so glad to have her as a mentor. In 2nd grade, I thrived academically and socially and felt comfortable being myself due to the positive and warm environment in Mrs. G’s classroom. Throughout my years in high school, I would job shadow Mrs. Gonzalez’s classes, and she helped me decide on my college major; Speech Language Pathology. I am truly grateful to have had her guiding me, and she is exactly the type of educator I would like to emulate.
