The University of Rochester's Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award recognizes a junior student who demonstrates a commitment to understanding and addressing difficult social issues. He/she also demonstrates leadership and dedication to community action, and maintains strong grades and takes rigorous courses taken in the humanities and social sciences.
