Lena Naftzinger - Quiet Leader Award

Lena Tobias Naftzinger was a 1st grade teacher beginning in the 1920's. In 1968, she retired after 42 years as an elementary teacher, teaching over 1,500 students at the Green Point School, the Geary School and the Ebenezer School. A generous donation from Mrs. Naftzinger allows us to recognize multiple students a year. The Lena Naftzinger Quiet Leader Award will be awarded to 2 senior students who do work behind the scenes that often goes unnoticed by the majority, but significantly helps the school community. These students take daily action to make the Cedar Crest community a better place.
