Lena Naftzinger - Perseverance Award

Lena Tobias Naftzinger was a 1st grade teacher beginning in the 1920's. In 1968, she retired after 42 years as an elementary teacher, teaching over 1,500 students at the Green Point School, the Geary School and the Ebenezer School. A generous donation from Mrs. Naftzinger allows us to recognize multiple students a year. The Lena Naftzinger Perseverance Award will be awarded to 2 senior students who have experienced obstacles in their lives but were able to overcome and persevere.
